Anderlecht have been drawn away to Beerschot in the round of 16 of the Croky Cup. The match at the Kiel in Antwerp is scheduled for Sunday 18 October at 18:00.

The draw was conducted on Monday evening by former Belgium international Wesley Sonck. "The innocent hand of Wesley Sonck pulled the 32 balls from the drum on Monday evening," he said. For Anderlecht, this marks a return to a familiar venue, having played a cup match there two seasons ago.

The cup represents a chance for silverware alongside league commitments. The team currently sits fifth in the Jupiler Pro League with 13 points from seven games. Across those seven matches, the team has scored 11 goals and conceded 9. Their recent form is positive, with a 3-0 win over Zulte Waregem as their latest league result. That followed a draw against Kortrijk and a victory over Charleroi.
