RSC Anderlecht have concluded the summer transfer window with eleven new signings. The Jupiler Pro League club has deliberately strengthened its defence, midfield, and attack.

The Mauves currently sit eleventh in the league with seven points from five games. They have scored three goals and conceded five. Coach Brian Riemer's team is eight points behind leaders Gent.

Anderlecht have invested significantly in defence. French centre-back Giulian Biancone is one of the new faces. His compatriot Léo Pétrot also joins as a central defender. For the flanks, the club brought in Moldovan Oleg Reabciuk and Irishman Andrew Omobamidele, who arrives on loan.

These reinforcements are important for a team that has conceded five goals so far. The full squad is now more broadly equipped at the back.

The midfield also received a new impulse. Young Czech Lukas Ambros signed for the Brussels club. Ivorian Romeo Amane arrived from Rapid Vienna. Greek Ilias Koutsoupias made the move from Frosinone. Norwegian Thelo Aasgaard joins this group on loan.

With this mix of youth and experience, Anderlecht hope to gain more control in the centre of the park. The current position in the standings shows the need for a stronger collective.

New options have been added up front as well. Finnish winger Oliver Antman and German Marten Winkler, signed from Berlin, are meant to provide speed and depth. Moroccan striker Tawfik Bentayeb is the new number nine in the squad.

"With no fewer than eleven new players, the Mauves strengthened every area of the squad, bringing in both experienced players and promising young talents," said RSC Anderlecht. The club stressed these are completed transfers, not rumours.

The renewed squad faces an immediate important test. The next fixture is an away match against KV Mechelen on 11 September 2026. Mechelen are currently fifteenth in the table. All upcoming matches can be found in the fixtures.

The eleven new players must help Anderlecht close the eight-point gap to Gent. The first five league matchdays produced mixed results with two wins, one draw, and two losses. The next performance against Mechelen will be a first benchmark for the impact of the summer transfer business.
