RSC Anderlecht will begin its European campaign in the Europa League on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with a home match against Olympique Lyonnais. The full schedule for the Purple & White includes ten group stage matches running until late January 2027.

The club currently sits 11th in the Jupiler Pro League with three points from three games, following a mixed start of two losses and one win. With a negative goal difference of -3 and trailing leaders Charleroi by nine points, the European adventure offers a chance to inject new momentum into the season. The immediate task is a home league fixture against Kortrijk on September 3, a match against the current 18th-placed side.

Following the opener against Lyon at 21:00, Anderlecht travels to Dinamo Zagreb on October 15 for a match also kicking off at 21:00. A week later, on October 22, an away fixture against Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok is scheduled. The return to Lotto Park comes on November 5 with a meeting against RB Salzburg, starting at 18:45.

The final two matches of the calendar year are a trip to OFI Crete on November 26 and a home game against Hoffenheim on December 10. In the new year, the home match against Sunderland awaits on January 21. The group stage concludes on January 28 with an away fixture at Olympique Marseille. Fans can find the complete schedule on our fixtures page.

Alongside Anderlecht, Union SG, AA Gent, and STVV are also active in European competitions. Union, who missed out on the Champions League after a defeat to Bodø/Glimt, starts its Europa League campaign on September 17 at Viktoria Plzen. Their schedule includes home games against Real Sociedad, Hapoel Beer Sheva, and Lech Poznan, and away trips to Celta de Vigo, Lyon, and Besiktas.

AA Gent begins with confidence after a 2-3 victory at Hibernian in Edinburgh. The Buffalos will play at home against Aarhus and Red Star, and away at Braga and KuPs. Finally, STVV is drawn in the Conference League, where they will face teams like Hajduk Split, SK Brann, and Lugano.

The busy European calendar demands careful rotation and a deep squad. Anderlecht must balance the Jupiler Pro League, where improvement is needed, with its European ambitions. The current standings show there is work to be done to reach the top. The coming weeks will reveal if the squad is strong enough for this double program.

Anderlecht's next test is the league match against Kortrijk at Lotto Park on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
