Anderlecht are in the market for attacking reinforcements and have 22-year-old striker Muharem Husković on their shortlist. Scouts from the Brussels club were in attendance at a match involving his side Željezničar Sarajevo last week to run the rule over him.
The interest is specifically focused on Husković, who joined the Bosnian club from Austria Wien in February of this year. He is under contract until the summer of 2028, complicating any immediate move. The Austrian youth international has scored three goals in eight league matches this season. Anderlecht's scouts were also watching his teammates Aldian Korora and Eldar Dragović.
The club is monitoring the market closely as Brian Riemer's side currently sit fifth in the Jupiler Pro League table. With 13 points from seven games, bolstering the forward line is a consideration. Their recent form over the last five league outings reads three wins, one draw and one defeat.
Any move for Husković would be one for the future. He is among the options Anderlecht are tracking as they look at potential goal-scorers. Swedish side Kalmar FF are also understood to be interested in the forward.
The immediate focus remains on the league campaign. Anderlecht's next fixture is away to 17th-placed Cercle Brugge on October 10th. The scouting of Husković forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen the squad for the long term.
