Anderlecht will face Zulte Waregem on Saturday with a depleted defence. Defenders Giulian Biancone and Lucas Hey are both ruled out through injury.

Biancone is sidelined with an unspecified issue and is not expected back until mid-October. Hey is out for a longer period with a broken leg, with a return likely not before January. These absences come as Brian Riemer's side seeks consistency after a mixed run of form. A 1-0 away win at KV Mechelen was followed by a 1-2 home defeat to Lyon last time out.

Anderlecht currently sit seventh in the Jupiler Pro League table with ten points from six matches. Saturday's opponents, Zulte Waregem, are in fifth place. The previous meeting between the sides, in February, ended in a 2-4 away win for Anderlecht. The lineup against Lyon was a 4-4-2 with Coosemans in goal and an attack of Cvetković and Aasgaard. The match kicks off at 20:45 on Saturday at Lotto Park.

Anderlecht defeated Zulte Waregem 3-0 on September 19. Tawfik Bentayeb opened the scoring in the 40th minute and provided two assists before being injured, according to coach Vitor Bruno. "Bentayeb has been taken to hospital. We will wait for the MRI results," Bruno said. Marten Winkler scored twice in the second half. The victory followed the 1-2 loss to Lyon and moves Anderlecht to a recent form of three wins in their last five matches.
