Europa League: Anderlecht fights back against Porto

Anderlecht has taken an important step in the Europa League by playing against Porto. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

What happened?

Anderlecht started strong in the match and came close to scoring, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. Porto then came to a penalty, which was used by Galeno.

Anderlecht tried to react, but defensively the Portuguese stood well. Only in the second half did Anderlecht manage to score, thanks to Tristan Degreef.

Anderlecht is now already sure of the next round in the Europa League. The next matches are against Slavia Praag and Viktoria Plzen and a home match against Hoffenheim.

David Hubert was not entirely satisfied with the draw against Porto after the match. "On the football field it could have been better today, but in terms of mentality and attitude I am satisfied with what we have seen", said Hubert.
