Anderlecht is interested in 25-year-old Algerian left-back Mohamed Réda Hamidi. According to Foot Mercato, a leading source for transfer news, the Brussels club has expressed interest in the Algerian defender. Anderlecht is not the only club following Hamidi, as the Spanish Las Palmas and a Portuguese club, whose name is not yet known, are also reportedly interested in the right-back. Hamidi is currently active at JS Kabylie, where he has a contract until mid-2029. The right-back went through the youth academy of Paradou AC, a club known for its excellent youth development and the departure of several talents to Europe in recent years. Among them are Yacine Titraoui and Adem Zorgane, who made the move from Paradou to Sporting Charleroi. Hamidi's development was a bit slower, as he made his professional debut at the age of 20. He then grew into a regular at Paradou, before making the move to JS Kabylie two years ago. Initially, it was a loan deal, but a year later, JS Kabylie signed him permanently. Hamidi has quickly become a key player in the Algerian competition. Last season, he confirmed his strong performances. Hamidi missed a total of two matches, each time due to a suspension for too many yellow cards. In his first two seasons at JS Kabylie, he played a total of 64 matches, scoring one goal and providing 11 assists. With Hamidi as a regular on the right flank, JS Kabylie finished as vice-champion of Algeria, qualifying for the African Champions League. Internationally, Hamidi has played for the Algerian U-23 team. He has collected three youth caps for Algeria and is still waiting for his debut with the national A-team. For Anderlecht, Hamidi could be an interesting option on the right flank. The Brussels club is following the Algerian, according to Foot Mercato, but there is no concrete bid or negotiations yet. Moreover, the defender is still under contract with JS Kabylie for three more seasons, making a potential transfer unlikely.
